The one good thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel is very close to the colosseum, but other then that I would recommend finding another place to stay. If you are staying, I would try to make sure you book a room that has been renovated. The unrenovated rooms are old and in desperate need of repair. The... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights December 22-28, 2011. When we arrived in Rome around 9:00 AM after our overnight trans-atlantic flight we were exhausted. I realized they did not have to let us check into our room that early - so I was very pleasantly surprised when the man at the desk said he... More

This hotel is right down the street from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and across the street from Saint Peter of the Chains where the extra large sculpture of Moses by Michelangelo resides. It is a comfortable room with nothing too special - but the price is right - and the food is great! We had Christmas dinner there,... More

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights. The location is ideal, being right in the centre of Rome and within walking distance of the Colosseum, the Forum, the Trajan Markets, the Vittoriano and of a Metro station. Quite a few good restaurants around as well, but go a couple of streets away from the Via Cavour and its tourist traps.... More

We stayed at the Grand Palatino in the first week of December and had a wonderful time. Ignore the negative comments that people have posted on here as they nearly put us off... they shouldn't have. It was lovely. The room was clean, tidy, refreshed daily. The bed was two twin beds put together, but they were not on rollers... More

The Palatino Grand Hotel in Rome is a beautiful, First Class hotel located just blocks from the Colosseum. Very modern, clean, comfortable beds, and updated rooms. We stayed on the 8th floor and had a balcony, which overlooked the rooftops and you could see some of the ancient moments. Hotel is also convenient to shops and a grocery store, as... More

Very nice hotel, we ate in the dining room every night and the food was good. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and spacious for Roma. Giancarlo at the front desk was very helpful as was the rest of the staff. The dinning room was a bit rushed at times, but they went out of their way to make sure... More

This hotel was referred by my sister and brother-in-law who stayed there in 2005. We were very pleased with their recommendation. Our stay was for three nights. Our room was on the top floor (8) hardwood floors, nice bathroom and had a lovely balcony. The location is outstanding! We have come to have very low expectations traveling in Europe when... More

I don't know how this is a 4 star hotel. The only thing good about this hotel was the location. Walking distance to/from the train station and the coliseum. I would not recommended this hotel to anyone! More

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of a tour. Rooms were small but servicable, particularily since we only slept in the room. The location was great. You could walk to the colosseum/forum. Near public transportation and the desk will call a cab for you. Our biggest complaint would be the "front desk" workers except Roberto in the evening.... More
