I try to have a rule of only writing positive reviews but for this place I'm making an exception. Don't stay at this hotel. It's a really bad choice, scuffed walls, pleathery furniture, crappy location, indifferent staff. It is not, as you would hope by reading the reviews, located in some hip corner of Rome but next to what I... More

We booked the hotel for a private trip. Finding a hotel in Rome is easy, finding a hotel in Rome fitting your requirements is a bit more challenging. After visiting several Hotel sites and reading evaluations I decided to book the Ripa Hotel in Rome. I have to say: the hotel met our expectations completely. The room was hugh -... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in July, intending to see as much of Rome as possible. We decided to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel - 70 euros! Having done the return journey differently, I would advise that you get the train directly from the airport to Trastavere Station and then either walk or... More

Good & quiet location, nice breakfast, big rooms are the positive aspects. The hotel has lost its splendor, would need a complete renovation. The main hall looks very much better than the rooms. Personal quite friendly. More

Well, this not the worst hotel in Italy but certainly you will find better ones. In fact, it was reasonably good. The front desk attention follows the typical Italian style. Some loud voices and lots of gesture (they talk with their hands, do not forget it) but it was not unkind. That's the way they are and we must respect... More

Receptionist very unkind. Détestable! Design is so cool, but shower is not well designed: it is black somewhere, breakfast room is so noisy because architect didn't think about walls' surface anti-noise treatment, and being in Italy the ungorgivable thibg ever: coffee is horrible. I won't come back. More

I would give it five stars if it was not for the location. but the staff is good. Always have the hotel call a taxi for you. The breakfast was good, The rooms were very modern so it was an enjoyable stay. More

The Ripa was a great hotel. The prices are reasonable and the breakfast is exceptional! It is located next to a great part of Rome that feels less touristy. The junior suite feels like an apartment and had blackout curtains for sleeping in. Also air-conditioning is a plus. The hotel is clean and and the staff is very helpful. They... More

I booked the Ripa Hotel from a friend's recommendation who had stayed there before. I was worried bc I read a few of the reviews from trip advisor but once I had stayed there I was glad I listened to my friend! I couldnt have asked for a better location (in new Trastevere but literally across the street from the... More
