I had a great experience staying here! The hostel was very clean, the rooms were spacious and the staff were very welcoming. The common room was great and made it easy to meet other travellers and make friends :) Breakfast is pretty basic but you cant really complain! There are lockers in your room which is really handy. Location is... More

This would be a great wee place to stay, except for a few annoyances. Breakfast was fine, the location is excellent for walking to most of the attractions - and xlose to the Metro. On balance I would recommend it with the following issues to note. The staff were not particularly knowledgeable on the area, or clued up on customer... More

The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable to sleep in after a hard day of walking around the city. For the affordable price you pay, breakfast is provided, a cleaner comes in to clean your room when you're gone and you get an ensuite bathroom. That's value. I didn't have any problems except that the wifi is... More

This is one of the better hostels I've stayed in. he rooms are big with attached bathrooms. The staff are also helpful and cheerful. They provide free padlocks and linen. The breakfast is basic bread, spreads, cereal, tea and coffee. You need to give a 10 euro deposit for a set of keys (one for entering the building, one for... More

Cons: I spent 6 more euro per night then my roommates, because I booked 2 months earlier than them. Do not book early in the low season!!!!!! You can hear everything in the common room. So if somebody who is really noisy happened to talk in the common room, you need to try hard to go to sleep. Shower water... More

The hostel staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean with nice decor. Felt the decor had more priority than the actual facilities. We were on the first floor in an ensuite room and it wasn't finished. It will have a working kitchen and wi-fi at some point but at the moment you have to go 2 floors up to... More

The perfect hostel for a single female traveler!! I was in La Controra in Oct'12 while travelling to Rome for 8 days. If you are looking at a hostel which will be homely, bright and friendly but at the same time, give you your complete space and freedom- Look no further!! It's perfectly located in Via Umbria which is 5... More

I stayed there for four nights in the end of October. The room was really clean, spacious and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a mirror inside the bedroom, though. The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was ok, and there was no wifi signal on the first floor (where I stayed). But overall, the hostel is really... More
