We booked at the last minute on Venere.com and the price was as expected esp given the fact that the Rome Film Festival was on (160 Euros a night) but how can a 4 star hotel that advertises itself as having wi-fi in all rooms then not have internet in the room!!! It was ridiculous! We were there on business... More

It is NOT a 4 stars hotel! The clerk were very rude, the breakfast waitress was loud and very unprofessional. We paid a discounted price and can't really complain, but it ddid nopt look like a 4 stars hotel. The room was clean and tidy, I'll give you that, but on our second day we found towels around the room... More

We chosed the Ritz mainly due to its name and well known high standard in other cities, and being apart from center of Rome, price was only slightly higher than a three star Hotel in downtown and promised more confort. The good point is the well-disposed staff, ready to solve any problem in the most convenient way. The connection to... More

I read the reviews on this hotel before I stayed there and thought about changing my booking. However, when I got there I was pleasantly surprised. The reception was very nice and similar to other 4 star hotels I have stayed in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lifts were on the small side if you have a... More

I too was on a business trip to the 4* Grand Hotel Ritz. The only thing grand about this hotel is the name and the only thing 4* is the petrol fumes from the heavy/noisey traffic outside. I arrived at the hotel at 10.00pm after a 6 hour flight and an hour long taxi ride to be told that I... More

I was in Rome recently for a business meeting and the meeting planner had booked the Grand Ritz for our meeting. I found the previous posts on this site to be very helpful, so I thought I would pass along my experience as well. First, after reading the post describing how noisy this hotel can be, I asked for a... More

Way worse than a rip off. Shanty hotel located near the new Auditorium. Supposed to be a 4-star, it hardly deserves more than 1. Booked by a company as a back-up option for one night (I am not aware of the rate), it should only be your very last resort option, if every other try fails. Reception: Very modest hall... More

We just returned home from a two week vacation in Italy, with the final 5 nights spent at the hotel Grand Ritz in Rome. First the good things: The hotel is situated in a decent area with the Metro downstairs, which allows good access to most areas (as long as you are ok with some walking, it's fine). Some restaurants... More

After the ride from hell from the airport and then to be ripped off by the cabbie just for the fun of it, he over charged us by 25 Euro's total charge for a near death experience was 80 Euro's........ So first impressions of Rome were to say the least not very good. Finally arrived at the hotel the surrounding... More
