We stayed here for several reasons - proximity to the Colliseum, the Vatican and central downtown Rome. We were pleasantly surprised that the Wi-Fi is free and the bathroom was huge by European standards. Even had a bidet. We had a standard room. The room is a decent size for Europe and clean. The hotel is old but has charm.... More

We have stayed 4 nights in this nice hotel. Friendly and helpfull staff at the reception, a very extensive and good breakfast (up to 10.30 hr) The hotel looks somewhat old, but is very stylish. No wifi, but an internet corner. Clean. Terrace on the roof. Very good location. 200 meters from the Barberini metro, a 5 minutes walk to... More

We stayed in this hotel on February 2013 for three nights. The room was spacious and the bathroom was also nice. The temperature changed a lot during the night in the room. The situation was centrally located but it was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast surprised us with the richess, so much to choose from. You just asked for... More

Sorry to say this was my worst reservation experience. I arrived in Rome with my partner and 87-year-old father. After taking a taxi to the hotel I was told my reservation (made weeks in advance) could not be honoured as the hotel was full and Venere had given them too many bookings. We were given a taxi and taken to... More

We were in Rome for an extended stay and stayed at the Sistina because of the great location. But, the rooms are very small and it is difficult to manuever with your suitcases. Staff was very helpful in giving directions. The breakfast was filling and the young lady who worked here was wonderful. Very helpful and positive.

We have just come back from a 5 night stay in Rome and stayed at the Hotel Sistina. It is a lovely quaint hotel with very friendly and helpful staff on the reception desk all with good English. We were in Rome to visit the notable attractions e.g. Vatican Museum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps,Trostavera etc and the central location of... More

The hotel is located about 30 minutes walk from the Termini, so if you're afraid of using your legs be sure to book a transfer - if you walk there it is also easy to miss. Walking from Piazza Barberini, it is on the right hand side of the road on the corner of via Cappucine. The sign is very... More

The hotel is small. Only 25 rooms of different size. But because of that it is nice and quit. Our doublebed room was just big enough for two, but it was clean and in good condition. The breakfest was good and the breakfestrooms are very nice. Nice and polite staff. Short way to Spanish steps and to the ancient Rome.... More

Great location - very close to Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese, and easy walk to everything else (central Rome is really not that large). Taxi stand just a block away. ATMs are very close and plentiful. Front desk staff is great and most speak English well. They are very helpful. Cleaning staff forgot something for our room each day -... More

On arrival the female receptionist was very friendly and gave us nice quiet rooms. I had a problem with the air-conditioning and even although it is a small hotel and it was a Sunday, she managed to get someone to fix it which was very welcoming. Breakfast is a cold affair which suited me and was very good and varied.... More
