21 Dec 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

I have just come back from staying with some friends at the Tritone Hotel. All facilities were very modern in the room, and the hotel was in an ideal location for sightseeing. Breakfast was available until 10.30 which was nice if you don't want to get up too early, it was set up in a rooftop breakfast room, with a... more

It was obvious the room (101) was recently renovated, it was very clean, comfortable and fully equiped, although a bit small. The location was fantastic, very close to Trevi Fountain, Via Condotti and Piazza Montecitorio, that is in walking distance of everything that must be seen in Rome's historic center. The breakfast room was at the last floor of the... more

You may think this is a bad review. I promise you it is the truth down to the final punctuation. Hotels.com gave me a refund. I think the best feature of our stay was the mold on the shower head. Either that or the water leaking onto the floor from the bathroom ceiling or blood stained mattresses. Either one or... more

We are very, very surprised about this comment. In our daily report we have no trace of such weird complains such as water flooding or shocking air-conditioning, neither Hotels.com informed us of any refund. We are very engaged to maintaining high level of cleaning and we are famous for safety. Hotel is getting very good reviews and we have a...

The hotel slightly messed up our reservation and didn't have any rooms available our first night, so they put us up in their sister hotel (Hotel White - 4 Stars). We got a beautiful presidential suite, complete with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 floors! They transported our stuff back to Tritone the next day at our convenience and put... more

The hotel is really close to the Trevi Fountain, the bus stop is almost in front of the hotel. First night in rooms on one the lower floors (first or second, don't know). And the noise from the street was very very loud at night. Kept my grandmother, whose room was on the streetside, from sleeping. After the first night... more

The standard room I had was really small. The bathroom door could not be fully opened because of the bed, and the way around the bed was partially blocked by the mini-bar fridge. The bathroom window did not shut tight so it was rather chilly in the morning. The good thing: no complaints in terms of cleanliness. A big relief!... more

I stayed with my partner in this hotel for two nights in November 08. The hotel was booked for us by a company I had to visit in Rome. Like one of the previous reviewers we were assigned room 201. Truly terrible: hardly space to move in, old furniture and exeedingly basic bathroom. Luckily a colleague and his wife were... more

We stayed in the hotel from October 29 through November 2, 2008. We were 2 adults and 3 children and booked the suite on the 5th floor. The rooms were a bit small but you don't need more because you spend your time outdoor. The place was clean and elegant. The bathroom very comfortable. The breakfast area is wonderful on... more

Just returned from a 2 day business trip to Rome and stayed at Hotel Tritone booked for me by the travel agency of my company, primarily because central location is great. I would say this is the only advantage of this hotel. As for the rest, pretty terrible. They put me in room 201, horrible bedroom, old and smelly. Bed... more

Six adults stayed her for 5 days. Wonderful location. Very central. Tiny lobby/reception area. Kiosk type reception with people lined up on stair entrance waiting for service. Very austere reception staff. - ordered taxi on day of departure for airport which did not arrive. Completely indifferent to our urgent need to catch plane. Had to run into street and get... more
