Stayed here for three night Rome break - 30th November 2011 to 3rd December 2011. Location of hotel is good. Close enough to the station but not too close as some areas closer by did seem a "little rough". The street (Via Merulana) leads straight up to the Santa Maria Maggiore. There are side streets coming of it with restaurants... More

Fantastic little hotel that is great for a city break. The location is second to none, 5 - 10 min walk to Station Termini, 5 min walk to Colusseum, beside stop for city bus tours and close to metro station. This hotel is very clean with friendly staff. The only complaint that I would have with this hotel is that... More

Long story long, my friend and I arrived in Rome on July 19th, 2011 at 7 pm and it was pouring rain. Excited to make our dinner reservation went straight from the airport to Hotel Doria where a grumpy man asked us what we wanted, we told him that we had a reservation for two. The f**ker glared at us... More

My mom and I stayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of a vacation. This hotel is centrally located and it was very easy to find our way around Rome. If you plan on doing a lot of walking in Rome I suggest getting a real street map and not one of those tourist maps (they are... More

"Little" is the operative word. The elevator is only big enough for two adults WITHOUT luggage or an adult with ONE piece of luggage. in-house breakfast cafe is not serviced by the elevator. This neat little hotel is cozy and staffs are always friendly. The Main Terminal is about a 10 minutes walk away. The room is nice and clean,... More

We overnighted in Rome, arriving by train from Naples. The hotel is easy to find - and only about 10 minutes walk from the railway station. We had read previous reviews saying that they would recommend a room at the back of the hotel but our room was street side. Although it would be noisy if you had the window... More

Stayed 3 nights at hotel doria with my husband and adult son. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had room over the street. 1st night was noisy rest of stay fine. Service good throughout our stay. Cleanliness outstanding. Breakfast was fine, would have got boring on longer stay though. Mini bar was good value for money. Also 2 cheap... More

Our group rented 3 rooms at the Doria for 2 nights prior to boarding a cruise this summer. There is nothing fancy here but the hotel met our expectations: good value, well-situated, rooms clean and comfortable, attentive staff. There are however a few things that should be kept in mind if you do chose to book. First off, ask for... More

Hotel Doria is in a perfect location, close to all the main attractions in Rome. The hop on hop off bus tours run right around the corner, which we found very useful to get around the city. The hotel itself is very small, but the staff were extremely friendly and spoke good English. The rooms are to a good standard,... More

Italy is like New York city. All you get is attitude. Rome is beautiful though and very historic. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location. Very close to the main attractions.Alot of restuarants in the area. 7-10 walk to the Colosso, 7-10 walk to Rome termini,20 min walk to Fountain di trevi, 25 min... More
