We stayed at this hotel in May 2011 and we loved the location !!! It's like living with the locals, with great small restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops, churches to visit, and of course, tons of gelatos :). We also enjoyed some asian restaurants nearby if you needed a change to eat. Our room is spacious, nice and clean. Bathroom... More

We took the bus from termini station got off just across the river and walked. It wasn't so bad. We finally found the hotel behind another building. The desk person didn't even smile when we came in (although I found most of the folks in Rome don't smile much....must be all those darned tourists :P ). So we get to... More

My husband and I went to Rome at the end of January and stayed in Casa San Giuseppe. We were very pleased generally. The room was quiet, large enough and clean, the bathroom lovely. Staff doing breakfasts etc were very friendly and helpful. Staff in reception were mostly friendly - not all of them. The location is super - walking... More

I went to Rome on New year's eve with my friends. The rooms were clean and big enough, the hotel was near to the main attractions but, it was quite far from the railway station (Termini). The staff was very kind and available, but, the breakfast was not as big as described in their website and there wasn't any wifi... More

This hotel is a rare jewel set in beautiful Trastevere. A room facing the courtyard is best although facing the street is a beautiful experience too. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms spacious. The location is wonderful with a nearby coffee shop that sells the best take out cappuccinos I have ever had - the pastries are to die... More

The location can not be beaten, the rooms can be large (although that is uneven), and the service is spotty. On my last stay, internet was not available and the staff didn't seen to care or make an effort to help me locate a place with internet access; staff does not keep train schedules and can't help with train schedules.... This was a very nice hotel is the growing, now trendy, Trastevare neighborhood. It's on a tiny side-street just around the corner from the Piazza Tri Lussa (which is next to a bridge across the Tiber - so you can pop right into the heart of Rome on foot). The rooms are large (as are the ensuite bathrooms). Good A/C... More

In Trastevere, waLking distance to everything in Rome. On a quiet side street close to a wide range of restaurants. Rooms are simple, but clean, a/c works. Bathrooms and shower stall are small with limited towels. Decent buffet breakfast. Wi Fi is free, but only available in the lobby. Very good value and they have on site parking, a rarity... More

We stayed at Casa San Giuseppe for 4 days in late November...three families with teens and pre-teens. Fantastic location for walking everywhere...Vatican in 20 minutes, Roman ruins in 15 minutes. Campo da Fiori in 10 minutes, great restaurants and bars everywhere. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. But the management still haven't fixed the two minor details the... More
