We were stationed in Gaeta for 3 years. It is a WONDERFUL place to visit. This hotel was our residence for nearly 2 months when we first arrived and the last 30 days when we left 3 years later. The staff were wonderful. They speak English and go out of their way to accomodate you. If you are not happy... More

I travel ave stayed at the Hotel Gajeta on a number of occassions. Simply stated, this is a great hotel. You feel more like a guest staying at a friend's home than just another business traveler. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The little town of Gaeta is a gem -lots of beautiful places to explore and enjoy the... More

Whenever we take our travels south of Rome The Gajeta Hotel is a perfect stop between Rome and the Amalfi Coast to take in some local flavor and sandy beaches (make sure you sample the fresh Mozzarella di Bufala...the best in Italy). The family run hotel has a friendly staff and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Some of the... More

I stayed at hotel Gaeta several times throughout the summer of 2011. This hotel is in a good location near serapo beach, the bus stop is AT the hotel, free and reliable wi-fi in the lobby and rooms, free light breakfast, 24 hr access to the bar, close to about 100 restaurants within walking distance, very friendly English speaking staff... We can not recommend the Gajeta Hotel enough! My husband and I were there for high season, and never felt the crush that is usually found along the coast. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. They immediately made us feel at home. They recommended nearby restaurants and beaches that were hidden gems that only the locals know about.... We arrived there after the B&B owner where we reserved just disappeared. We paid 165 Euros for a family room which obviously wasn't occupied for a long time. The room had a terrible smell of dampness and cigarettes. The shower was not very clean, there was no wi-fi nor a working air condition. Even the sheets smelled terrible. Breakfast was... More

I didn't have the pleasure to meet you. In reply to your comments, I made my own investigation but I still do not understand you frustration. We are at the end of high season so the room was occupied just the day before you arrived. Our hotel is smoking free, like all public places in Italy. There is a fine... More

The service we received was excellent, quick, informative with an very friendly manner at the desk. This was helped by the fact that we were given an upgrade to a suite and that on leaving we were not charged for the first round of drinks - said to be a welcome gift! The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean.... More

The place to be if you are looking for the quintessential European lodging experience. Location is perfect for those on business in support of the NATO base. The base is directly across the street! No matter what your reason for visiting Gaeta is, the hotel is situated where everything is easily accessible. You can walk to the beaches, the central... More

The hotel was fine, good value with lounge and dining in the suite. However this town has one attraction which is the split rock and the 100 steps down and back up are an effort. Notvreally worth the long winding drive in to this coastal town. More

I understand that your score was mainly due to the fact that you did not like the town even if it is considered one of the nicest summer resort between Rome and Naples. What I don't understand is why your rating on the hotel was poor since your comment was positive: "The hotel was fine, good value... ect.". Should we... More
