For Sorrento, this hotel is good value. It was considerably cheaper than most other hotels. I had been to Sorrento before and loved the place so much that I really wanted to take my husband there for the romantic nights and the fascinating days, the only way we could afford it, was to use this hotel. Generally, I thought it... more

My wife and I stayed in the hotel Tourist for one week in September 2008. We found the staff to be really friendly, warm and made our stay such a joy. Lucca and Peppi looked after us so well in the restaurant. Lucca seemed to thrive on making us welcome- thank you Lucca. The food in the restaurant was Italian, what... more

This is a budget hotel within 10 minutes walk of the main square in Sorrento and within 5 minutes walk of both the train and bus stations which give easy access to the highlights of the area, eg Pompei, Amalfi and Positano. If you want luxury and fine dining this is not the hotel for you. However, there was a... more

I stayed here with my wife in first two weeks of sept.2008. Food was good, although making toast in morning was, as I have found at most hotels, time consuming because the toaster only just about coloured the bread and needed to be put through twice. Waiters Lucca and Peppe were excellent. Always smiling and friendly. Lucca was a big... more

Right... I'll keep this short and sweet shall I? This place is a miserable excuse for a hotel. You expect good food, good showers, plenty of space in a room designed for 4 people and a hotel team of more than 2 when you stay in a hotel abroad. Our experience at Hotel Tourist did not quite match this criteria.... more

My daughters and I had a very happy holiday at this hotel. We were near the centre of town for night life and yet in a quiet area without night time noise. The food was good and basic, but they made every effort to cater for different dietary requirements and food fads! The pool was sufficient to our needs, surrounded... more

Just arrived back from the hotel tourist and all we can say is that it was excellent. The only problem we found was that you where dropped off from the coach about 200 hundred yards down the road and have to pull your luggage along narrow pavements. The food was good and plenty of it, though no eggs for breakfast.... more

I spent 5 nights in hotel Tourist in Sorrento in August 2008. If you are planning on staying there, maybe my experience can be helpful to you. I wasn’t able to sleep for 4 hours straight during the 5 nights that I stayed in hotel Tourist. There were people keeping me up every night in the hotel bar, sometimes until... more

This hotel is in an ideal location - just minutes from the Piazza Tasso. The train station is around the corner and everyone speaks English and so we didnt do any organised trips with the holiday rep. We went everywhere by ourselves - Capri, Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii, Mt Vesuvius etc etc. It was really easy and no hassle at all.... more
