This place was hideous! Dirty rooms, mould on ceiling, mould on rubber seals around bath, tiny t.v, remote control filthy and taped together ! Rude owners, the only good thing about this hotel was the location. If you don't mind 300+ steps STEEP, this will be ok for you. More

A group of us recently went on a "Tour of Italy." One of the stops we made was Sorrento, where we stayied @ this hotel. When we departed, heading to Palermo, Sicily (with several sightseeing stops inbetween) one of the students left a bag with her passport in the hotel lobby. The manager contacted our tour guide & then drove... More

I visited Sorrento for a 6-day business trip and I stayed at Hotel Il Faro. I wanted somewhere quiet where I could do my work on my laptop but also a good spot to go and visit the beautiful islands of Capri and Ischia and the cities of Positano and Amalfi. I really enjoyed my stay there, the staff was... More

Very pleasant management and staff, room was a nice size, as was the bathroom, exceedingly clean throughout, and breakfast was more than adequate. Remember, it is a 3 star hotel, and is a survivor from days gone by, but enjoy the ambience that now exists. Interestingly, the hotel has a restaurant called VIELA BIANCA adjoining the property, and I would... More

The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Most spoke English but allowed us to try to get information using our limited Italian. The room was clean but basic. Loved the balcony that looked out over the bay. Has elevator to upper floors. Hotel atmosphere reminded me of small grand hotels seen in 1920/30 movies. Very charming. Included breakfast offered... This wasn't my first choice hotel, but due to unforseen problems in Massa Lubrense, I ended up staying here for 4 nights and enjoyed my time here. The hotel staff and adjoining restaurant staff are friendly and make you welcome. The rooms are clean, but quite basic, however, the view from my room which overlooked the bay was very picturesque.... More

Place is very clean and breakfast is good. the main drawback is that it is located at the bottom of the town, that means you either have to climb up to the town center or take the bus. For us we did not mind the walk at all. The ocean-view room has a good view of the harbor and the... More

This place is a dump and I'd advise anyone to find another place to stay in Sorrento. We booked it last minute in Rome which was our first mistake and stayed 3 nights, Sep 6, 7, 8, 2011. The first room we were in was room 309; first clue it was bad was it wasn't even listed on the elevator... More

First, a warning: this little hotel is at the bottom of the narrow, winding road that leads from the Piazza Tasso down to the water level, so virtually anything you want to do in Sorrento (except taking a ferry to Ischia or Capri) requires that you make your way back up the steep hill to town. You can take taxis... More

We had a nice time in this lovely little hotel. The rooms were simple but clean and tidy, which was all we required. The beds were all mainly compfy, and the food was of a reasonable standard. The Hotel was in an alright location, with te exception of the number of stairs into the town. Room Keeping was of a... More
