I was recommended to stay here as it was conveniently located and relatively cheap. By cheap I mean basic - this is, after all, nothing more than a youth hostel so don't expect a TV or mini-bar. The room was compact, clean, and yes the shower cubicle was tiny. I was disappointed to be overlooked by the cleaners two days in a row (something I'd paid for in advance). There wasn't a window in my room as such, just a wooden shutter - which, because it was 24ºC at night, I had to keep open and let in all the noise from outside (and believe me there was plenty of it out there).
The staff are friendly enough (particularly the beautiful blue-eyed girl on reception) but the evening meals are nothing special and you don't get a great deal of choice.
Oh, and by the way, the elevator is the slowest I've ever ridden.
