Can't ask for anything better!...very clean, 55 euros a night, near metro and close to everything...felt like i was home in NYC on broadway / 42nd street. across from the broadway play "Lion King". They don't have check-in services all night...I believe till 11pm, however, I did receive an email from the manager the night before I checked in asking...

This hotel was a very decent stay on the main Gran Via of Madrid. The hotel is located on the 5th and 8th floor of the building. Half of the building are small residents and the other half consists of rooms for the hostals/hotels in the building. The hotel is in a great location but is modestly marked. The lobby...

Perfect location with friendly (non-english-speaking) staff. The view to Gran Via is awesome, especially during the Madrid March Strike. The place is about as clean as a 2-3 star motel, if you really care about it as I do.

This was a great place to stay, perfectly located within easy walking distance to everything I wanted to see in Madrid. The room was pretty basic, but it was clean and comfortable, and we didn't spend much time there. The staff was really friendly and eager to help. However, the desk is not 24 hours though, plan accordingly. I would...

Absolutely fantastic place to stay at. Comfortable, not too pricey and very clean. The room we stayed in even had a flat screen.
The location, needless to say, was perfect. Right in the middle of Gran Via, near plenty of big metro stations. Everywhere is walkable should you wish to explore Madrid.
The only minor downside I have is that...

I stayed here in a twin room for two nights. The hotel couldn't be in a better location. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It was nice that we were able to leave our bags before and after we checked in / out. Very clean, large room and also some free toiletries and tissues which helped with my cold!!...

Nice and clean, with a great location and good service... the only problem is the rooms with balcony to the Gran Vía are REALLY NOISY, there are sirens passing by every 5 mins and the glasses are not soundproof.... the hotel was warm... it could use a fridge to store what you buy in the market

The best of Santillán Hotel is its very friendly and helpful staff and its extremely good location, just in the center of Madrid (Gran Vía), and next to most of the tourist attractions. Keep in mind that Gran Vía is one of the busiest streets in Madrid, so think it twice in case you love staying in quiet surroundings. The...

I would have rated Hostal Santillan the full 5 stars for an excellent location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms if the place wasn't so noisy.
My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay but didn't quite imagine Gran Via is as busy as it turned out to be.
I generally don't have any trouble...
