We stayed here in March 2004 and remembered the street noise from late-night revelers. Yet the convenience to Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, the Prado, Reina Sofia, shops, restaurants, bars is so perfect that we returned. No elevator. Bring your own washcloth. Use ear plugs. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms are tiny, but en suite, which is nice. A shared shower/toilet/sink... More

Great service! Small rooms but that's not surprising for a hostel. Excellent location. You can come and go 24h a day. The perfect choice for adventurers. More

The best part about this hostel is its amazing location - it is literally around the corner from Plaza Mayor, and only a five-to-ten minute walk to Plaza del Sol. Both areas are extremely beautiful and are bustling with cafes, bars and restaurants. There is also a metro stop right in this area. However, to balance out the great location,... More

Simple hostel right in the centre of the city, distance walking from the main attractions of the city. Welcoming staff, nice rooms with safe in the closet, good price. Not good was the fact that we didn't have breakfast included (I actually don't know if they have a breakfast room) and having it in one of the cafes close to... More

We stayed with friends two days in june 2010.The location is perfect-all things worth to see in Madrid are within a walking distance. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are a little bit small-but we did not expect large rooms for this price-bathrooms are o.k.The only thing that disturbed us was the noise all the night -we slept at open windows. I stayed in this hostel 2 nights. If you are traveling to madrid just for leisure, i advice it, because it is close to all the turistic and nightlife places. the rooms are small but are ok if you are planning to stay there just to have a few hours of rest. The best of it: it´s cheap!!! More

We stayed at this hotel during the Volcano disruption. The staff were extremely kind and thoughtful. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean: I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a budget stay in Madrid. More

This place seemed to tick all the boxes...at first. The sign said that guests can come and go 24 hours a day, but we were told to get back early because the night-duty man wanted to go to bed and was locking the door. When we did get back, the local homeless drunks sang all night below our window, which... More

We chose this hotel mainly because of its superb location and convenient price. I'm used to staying in budget hotels and didn't expect any kind of luxury, but the quality of the accomodation was still well below my standards. The room was miniature and looked like a single room advertised as a double (until now I had no idea that... More

We found the Hostal La Perla Asturiana to be everything good that we had read in Trip Adviser. It has no food available, but drinks could be ordered. However, all you had to do was walk out the hostal entrance into the square and there were three cafes within a few yards, all offering a good selection of drinks and... More
