I stayed at the Hotel Opera with my teenaged son in March of 2011 and was sufficiently taken by the hotel, and in particular its location, to ask my travel agent to book my mother, sister, and I there for a trip just this week. We book-ended 10 days in Spain with 2 nights at Hotel Opera on arrival and... More

Large rooms, clean, huge bathrooms. Front desk staff very attentive. Great central location, good, full breakfast buffet. Late night street noise can be bothersome. More

This hotel is perfectly situated next to the Opera House and the Royal Palace. The rooms were modern and clean. The bed was comfortable enough. The staff is nice, but speak very little English, so be prepared to know some Spanish. I studied Spanish for 10 years, but have not conversed with anyone for a long time. I had to... More

The best thing about this small hotel is that it is in the centre of the city and it is easy to explore the city by foot. Front desk staff were helpful and spoke good English. The rooms were spotless but small. We travelled as a family of 6 and asked for 2 rooms. We were given a camp bed... More

We spent 7 nights in the Opera Hotel in March 2012. The location of the Hotel is great. It is next to "Palacio Real" and at a walking distance to "Puerta del Sol", "Gran Via", "Plaza de Espana" and other tourist attractions. The Metro station "Opera" is just across the street and there is an elevator which is very convenient... More

We have just come back from our first visit to Madrid which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was partly due to where we stayed i.e. Hotel Opera.Fantastic location, very close to many major tourist sights e.g. Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, Calle Mayor, Metro etc. The hotel was very comfortable with good facilities. We enjoyed the breakfasts - great choice of foods,... More

We were so pleased with our visit to this property! It's close to popular tourist spots, shopping, restaurants and the Metro, but comfortably off the main drag of Gran Via. The only downside was its proximity to a busy bus stop which created some outside noise at times, but this was more than offset by the clean, well-appointed rooms, attentive... More

We chose this hotel because we wanted to be at walking distance from the “Palacio Real”, “Mercado San Miguel”, and “Plaza del Sol”. Location is perfect. This is a 4 star hotel, nice, clean, and modern. More
