In a very good location near the train station and some of the major attractions. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was nice, but you could hear everything going on in the hall way making sleep difficult. Having said that, I would stay here again. Free wi fi in the lobby. More

The hotel is in two separate buildings linked by a covered walkway, so you may need to take two lifts and a short walk from reception if you're in the rear building. Great rooms (7th floor suite with large balcony), recently refurbished with modern design. Free minibar was a great plus. Breakfast was OK, if a little chaotic and short... More

Chose this hotel because we got a good deal on-line £240 for two people for three nights including breakfast. It's not on one of Madrid's nicest streets but the Atocha railway and metro stations are a mere two minute walk from the hotel. Paseo del Prado - home to a number of Madrid's most desirable attractions - is less than... More

We (a mature couple) stayed at the hotel in March 2012 en route to Mijas Costa. The main reason was proximity to the train station as we were planning to take the train to Malaga where we were renting a car. The hotel design is contemporary with lot of chrome, dark wood and spot lights. Free WiFi is available in... More

Great hotel with excellent service and ambience. The glass walled shower was interting and the free minibar was refreshing. The corridor lighting was a little gloomy was about the only negative. The location near the station was convenient but it was harder to find than I thought. All in all, a good quality hotel, recommended. More

A 2 night stay for business. Reception was clean and well staffed - the check-in staff spoke excellent English and explained things clearly. When taxis were booked by reception they were there at the allotted time. Good Points: The hotel seems clean and recently refurbished with a reasonable selection of facilities for someone travelling for business. The location was adequate... More

I arrived late on a train and easily found the hotel. It is just a short walk from Atocha station. I have stayed in a number of AC hotels over the years and just love them in general, but this one let the side down a bit. Check in was nonchalent and bored, the room was fine, clean and everything... More

very average experience.not that easy to find even coming from the main train station.arrived around 12 -i requested and early check in .long queue.reception staff not very helpful-im coming from the hospitality business so maybe i have higher expectations - i felt ignored when two members of staff started speaking Spanish to each other about not giving me an upgrade... From our party of 3 families, we found a variety of "shower stall exhibitionism". If a room had one large bed to share, the modernistic stone and glass walled shower stall was open and visible to the entire room; togetherness even in bathing (toilet was in a more private compound). If a room had two separate beds, perhaps not for... More

I stayed at the AC Hotel Atocha for two nights recently, and was pleased with the hotel. It is within a couple of blocks of Atocha train station, easily walked with luggage via c/ Mendez Alvaro. [Please note, though, that c/ Delicias is NOT the main street Paseo de las Delicias, which is where the more expensive AC Carlton is... More
