I was searching for a good value even though it was not in the city center. By train it is just 5 minutes to the airport -one stop- and 20 minutes -4 stops- to Atocha station to catch the AVE -fast train-. New hotel, nicely decorated as Barceló hotels tend to arrange.

It's very close to the airport, but quite far from the town center (about 45' by bus or Metro), so it's probably not your first thought for downtown sightseeing. A very nice hotel at the north of Madrid, but maybe a bit far from the center. However it has very spacious, clean and modern bedrooms. No problems of noises at all, even though I have been several times in both sides of the building. Also, the free Wifi is plus!

overall clean hotel but the service area for the garbage trucks is nearby and they all travel down the road past the hotel day and night. The even numbered rooms face away, but the odd numbered rooms face the busy road. Hard to sleep if you have traveled overseas with noise day and night Also, no fitness area.
