We got an early summer special deal at this peaceful and beautifully located four star hotel. Our rooms overlooked a little beach and beyond the pine headland was the wide sweep of Riveira Bay and the town of Riveira itself. It is a working town dominated by the fishing industry and in early summer finding a decent restaurant there was not a simple challenge.
The hotel really does feel “four star”. Our room was spacious with a superb bathroom and the twin beds were both big and luxurious. We had a balcony looking out over the marine vista.
The breakfast spread was fine with a lovely fresh fruit option - melon, slices of orange, kiwi fruit etc. The pool was rather exposed in the early summer breeze – no shelter from the chill and there was an adjacent single tennis court. Bar opening times were sporadic – perhaps understandable given the fact that when we stayed there only fifteen of the fifty rooms were occupied.
