I was very surprised by some very negative reviews here about this hotel, that I even checked once more to see if I'm on the right place. It seems like they have different kind of rooms which differ a lot in quality. We stayed one night in double room , and it was pretty big (pleasant surprise for us since... More

Excellent location near the old city. We only stayed for one night (our flight from Girona airport was early in the morning). Our room (#207) was in the front of the building and it was OK. The size of the room and bathroom was larger than many other hotels I've stayed. Reception people were very helpful. More

Stayed here last weekend. For the rate (€64 per double room per night) and the room assigned it was very good value.Average size spotlessly clean room, good firm bed,tv with all Spanish channels. The bathroom was very clean, excellent power shower, good big mirror above the sink. Check in and out was swift and painless.Five minute walk across the river into the old town.Taxi... More

If you find this hotel with no wrong turns from the bus or train station on your first try you deserve a free nights stay. Save yourself frustration unless your up for a Where's Waldo experience and take a cab unless you have a map. That said once you find the hotel it is in an excellent location and if... More

Attractive lobby and that's where it ends. Mattresses that were so thin and lumpy and guaranteed a back ache. Windows opening to airshaft with no air movement. Noisy neighbors with TV on all night. A dreadful night with little sleep and couldn't wait to leave. To be avoided at all cost More

Still living through one night in the peninsular. Add a non- working air conditioner to my previous review. I'd ask for a refund but anyone cheap enough to use the toilet paper they use here wouldn't be someone you'd want to deal with. This is a One Star hotel and if you want to know what that means, there is... More

I am writing this in my room at the hotel, which has two windows that look out at a blank wall five feet away in an air shaft. When you open the windows, the room fills with the smell of cigarette smoke from the "non-smoking" rooms below. The bed feels like a box spring without a mattress and sags in... More

Clean, great price, just a 10 minute's walk from most things in town, half an hour at most. Free WiFi that is actually broadband - it really works. Beds are hard, air conditioning / heating is noisy, and, BTW, this is the 21st century - one spare mains socket in the whole place - and that's in the bathroom. When... More

Girona. What a lovely City. We arrived in there without any booking, walking in the main pedestrian street looking around. The tourism office indicated that the Peninsular is a good option. The public areas were nice and wormy. Nice decorations, flowers and an intimate atmosphere. That was nice. The room was rather Spartan. 2 twin beds in a small room... More

Had a vacation trip and spent 4 nights there. Very good location, all sightseeing, railway station, shopping areas are in a short walking distance. Room was perfectly clean and big enough. Staff was friendly and English speaking. Free internet in the lobby. Breakfast was tasty with a local Catalonia hint. Good value for the money. More
