- Canton Hotel Barcelona

To be honest I wasn't expecting much from a 1 star hotel but this place was a nice surprise.
The hotel was as central as suggested, the staff were friendly, if not a little overwhelmed by the Irish.
The rooms were a grand size, I had expected a matchbox but the reality was much nicer. They were clean, neat and...

We booked 4 nights at this hotel through Venere.com. Thewebsite made us pay for a triple room where as there was a double room available and made it look like it was the last room for 4 nights. The hotel location is great and front desk people are nice but we got conned into paying 20 euros per night extra...

Very reasonable price, very clean room and comfortable (firm mattress) beds, plenty of hot water and adequate heating. Handy to have a fridge and a safe in the room. Friendly and courteous staff, all English-speaking, and tolerant of my attempts at speaking Spanish!
Above all, this has to be an almost perfect location for a stay in Barcelona: just off...

I stayed in a single room for two nights in early October at a cost of €40 per night. The room was small but adequate with a flat screen TV, a free safe and a nice bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer. The bed was a little bit hard but ok. The hotel is in a central location...

Stayed here for four nights in a double room. A couple of minutes walk from the Metro at Drassanes (right on Las Ramblas), also walking distance for many restaurants in the Gothic quarter and slightly further to Port Vell (10 minutes walk to the restaurants here). Checking in was simple and the staff speak English but definitely appreciated a 'thank...
