A nice basic hotel in a great location. Took the Aerobus (5 euros) from the airport to Placa Catalunya and walked for about 2 minutes to the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Internet access is free. Maybe a bit noisy at times because of its location. Breakfast comes with 3 rolls/pastries, an orange juice, and coffee. It was served... more

Really easy hotel to find just off La Ramblas, very safe area, and only 25 euros from the airport. Staff very helpful and 24 hour reception. This hotel is at a fantastic location, very near Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas. It is spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Barcelona and wants to be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and sightseeing attractions. more

Ideally situated, its next door the the Nouvel Hotel which i stayed in March 2007 (which i never knew when i booked it !!!). Its just a few minutes walk from Las Ramblas & the main Cataluna Square where buses from the airport terminate. Small hotel but very very clean. Breakfast facilities are across the road in a small cafe.... more

We stayed at the Hotel Cataluna in early September. The main feature of the hotel is the location, just off La Ramblas, really central to everything. When booking, we found that basic accommodation in Barcelona was expensive, and this was one of the only mid-range hotels that had availability and was recommended on other websites. Excellent location just off the top end of La Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya right in the heart of the city and many local attractions. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was powerful and cold, nothing like coming back to a cool room after a walk in the hot August Barcelona heat. Average bathroom .Facilities included TV, no minibar.... more
