Caledonian is a good, basic 3 star hotel which is perfectly located for a short city break. It is in a very safe neighbourhood, just beyond touristy areas, near the Universitat metro station. I am currently in the Caledonian. My room is airless and stuffy with a window that opens into an internal shaft so no breeze enters.
