We stayed in the penthouse apartment in March this year and it was great! Modern and the roof terrace gives a great view over the port. Gothic area, port and beach are all in walking distance. Only point of critic; we stayd 5 days and they did not change the towels. We had to wash them ourselves. There is a... More

This is my first time renting an apartment abroad and it went very well. Our emails with questions were responded to in English. Great to have the space (but yes the kitchen and laundry are tiny). Bring your own soap for laundry and dishwasher. Basic set of dishes, but no staples such as spices. A very good place for couples... More

We stayed in the Brossa flat and really liked it. Check-in was friendly and check out unfussy. We were only there for 3 nights end of December 2011 and appreciated the freedom of having our own kitchenette and much more space than if we'd booked in a hotel. There is a lovely terrace that we enjoyed despite the season so... More

This was a perfect place for us during the second leg of our trip. We had a fridge for leftovers and drinks of our own, a washer dryer for some much needed laundry, and a lovely apartment to be comfortable in. The bedroom is a little quirky (my boyfriend is threatening to have lighting installed under the bed now, too)... More

We loved it, it was home away from home. The location was great you can walk anywhere from there, our favorite was the bakery about three blocks from the apartment. We rented the two bedroom , two bathrooms with washer and dryer a small kitchen with a full size refrigerator, and a small balcony. We walk to the Rambla, the beach,... More

We stayed in the penthouse "Brossa" apartment in July 2011 and apart from a few niggles found this a reasonable deal. First the niggles: the circuits in this flat (building) are overloaded meaning that the system frequently tripped-out leaving all appliances unusable until the load reduced. Annoying if you're watching telly or doing anything that needs power. There was only... More

My girlfriend and I stayed on P1 for 4 nights and overall it was a great experience but we found it to be beat up and not maintained like hotels would do. We usually stay at hotels (4 star min to 5 diamond). We are considering moving to Barcelona from the US so we thought to rent a flat which... More

I stayed here for five nights in September 2010. I looked high and low for a good affordable hotel in Barcelona, and found quite a few options but decided on La Casa de les Lletres, an apartment hotel. What a great decision! I felt like I was at home in Barcelona. I stayed in Apartment 3, the Merce Rodoreda (Catalan... More

Expectations high, maybe too high as me and the missus went home disappointed. Very friendly staff, but the traffic noise was horrendous, the toilet leaking, and the kitchen so small that two people cant be in there at the same time. If you want to use the washing maschine, you have to open a closet which means you cant get... More

What a find this place turned out to be. After travelling for nearly 5 weeks we were looking forward to staying in an apartment with a washing machine and dryer. What we got was a whole lot more. La Casa De Les Lletres (The House of Letters) has 6 architect-designed apartments, one on each floor (with a working elevator) and... More
