We unfortunately only stayed for one night in the Hospedería Audencia Real, but the night that we did have was unforgettable. We booked through their website and asked for a balcony but did not expect to get room 101 which is the largest room and has its own enclosed glass balcony overlooking the Plaza Mayor. This hotel is located in an old jail building on the old town's main plaza (Plaza Mayor). The entry door at ground level is unimposing but the scene changes greatly once you enter. I recently spent a few nights in this wonderful new place in the heart of Ciudad Rodrigo, a beautiful medieval town of Castile.
