This is a lovely B&B in the mountains near Burgos, in a serene hamlet, surrounded by unspoiled nature. We had a lovely suite in the attic, enjoyed generous breakfasts and meals, homecooked by the owner, who was very kind and provided us with a map and advice on the beautiful surroundings. La Gandara is set in a rural idyll surrounded by mountainous countryside perforated by meadows and woodland. The tiny, sleepy village of Crespos (only roused by the horn of the baker's van) is a perfect backdrop to this rustic yet smart, comfortable and beautiful house. I cannot recommend La Gandara enough, it is tucked away in a natural and beautiful setting, the rooms were fantastic, the food, prepared for us and another couple by the hosts, was delicious. Go there, you won't be disappointed. More
