Moved to this hotel following a nightmarish experience at the Hotel Parque, Las Palmas (see my review). The Tryp hotel staff were very sympathetic to our situation and allowed us view several rooms before we made our decision. The hotel is convenient to the main shopping street and Old Town but a long, long way from the beach. It is... More

Was staying with wife and eight month old baby. Staff were helpful in adjusting food cooked in restaurant as well as disinfecting baby bottles in addition to standard services like providing cot and baby seat in eating areas. Literally minutes from the centre of Las Palmas and the bus station to the rest of the island. Can't wait to get... More

On arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who could have if required talked to us in English. We were given a good size room with views over the Port. If you opened the window it was a little noisy with the roar of the traffic, but with the window closed it was just a hum. Room was... More

We got a pretty clean, updated room with a beautiful ocean view. It was nice to see all the ships sail away in the morning. The hotel is locally conveniently just minutes away by foot to the San Telmo bus stop (guagua stop in local parlance). From there you are connected to the rest of Gran Canaria by bus or... More

We booked the Tryp Iberia Hotel mainly because of its proximity to the old town and the fact that they offered free parking. When we got there, the lot was full and the reception basically shrugged their shoulders. Street parking was not an option as it was full with government cars and not free of charge. As time went by,... More

I booked a couple of nights online as I wanted to start exploring Gran Canaria from Las Palmas. The hotel was fine, but a little bit pricey for what you actually get. The room was pretty good, and the all-you-can-eat breakfast was splendid. I realised that being based in Las Palmas for a few more days would be good, but... More

This hotel didn't look or feel like a 4 star. Rooms were old and shabby. The curtains were too scant and left in a lot of light early in the mornings.. The bathroom was pokey. We were at the back of the hotel overlooking a school.. We were woken uo at 7.30 every morning by The shouting children There was... More

Place was a hot many years ago I am sure but now it is on the last legs before heading to a 3 star rating. Hotel rooms are well used, clean and tidy but this place needs to be renovated. If it is that last one available then it is okay, otherwise look for another place. More

We stayed here in January. The staff were very helpful. The room was good, but unfortunately looked over the back of the hotel not the sea, but we had paid for a cheaper room. We did have a problem with the safe in the room, but this was sorted by the technician the same evening. Breakfast was very good. We... More

We were put up here when our flight was delayed. Our room was on the 8th floor overlooking the sea with a noisy 6 lane highway between and a container port beyond. It was an interesting view with ships going in and out of the harbour but even on the 8th floor it was very noisy. Also the windows didn't... More
