A two night stay with my husband and 9 year old daughter. Junior suite with king bed offered enough space with a single cot for my daughter. Sitting area gave up plenty of space. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. Highlight was breakfast. Lovely area with with a wonderful selection of meat, cheese, hot buffet, fresh juice... More

The hotel is an old-style vintage flavour five star hotel who has lost some of its old splendour. For a great price you get big rooms in a nicely located hotel for business or leisure time. The bed's mattresses could be a lot better, they clearly need an update. The Hotel Staff is very nice and take care of the... More

On holiday at the Riu Vistamar in Puerto Rico for 14 days, however during our stay we were to attend a wedding in Arucas Cathedral, with the reception in The Nautical Club in Las palmas. Prior to booking on line, we asked several members of staff at the Vistamar to recommend a good hotel in Las Palmas within a reasonable... More

Stayed here in April 2012 as part of a fabulous city break to Las Palmas. Location of hotel is conveniently half way between old town (20 minute walk) and Las Cantaras beach, (5 minutes in taxi) whcih is ideal, and a taxi to either place is only a few euros. The hotel is stunningly presented, even down to the red... More

Well, my wife and I have just got back from this hotel, these are my comments; on arriving the place certainly looks grand, just as I expected. We checked in and went to the room, nice size room with a traditional style balcony with views over the sweet scented garden. The hotel is very grand, but on closer inspection it... More

Service was definitely up to expectation, formal, but efficient and friendly. We only had breakfast and a lunch but both they excellent. Room was cleaned carefully. A proper gym that could be part of any larger chain just 2 min walk from the hotel together with a good spa, with better facilities then many dedicated spas we have been to.... More

We decided to treat our selves to a so called 5 star hotel. Reception excellent and well staffed, Most speak excellent English if you are unable to speak Spanish. The room had no balcony but did have sea views as we had asked for. The bed was large and very comfortable, the wardrobes and drawers although plentiful were in need... More

I can only agree with the previous posters about the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the old charm, the location. We loved the breakfast. The gym is well equipped, the pool nice and warm. The only tiny disappointment was that our room had an awkward shape, however the bed was comfortable and we slept well. Would not hesitate to... More

Posh setting, beautiful lobby, very polite and pleasant young receptionist who made us feel welcome although we weren't exactly in their core target group (family with 3-year old running about). Extra bed was brought to the room without any fuss. The outside bar is charming and the rooms are tidy and nicely decorated in classic style. Day time our room... More

This is one of my favourite hotels ever. The location is great, half way bewteen old town and beach, and near marina, but it is so nice that you could just stay home all day (especially if you get one of the bigger balconies). If not, there is both indoor and outdoor pool options and you can sit outside in... More
