We stayed here for 2 nights. It is on the quieter of the 2 beaches in San Sebastian and about 30 minute stroll along the promenade to the old town and nightlife. We were able to get a free parking space in front of the hotel and the staff moved our car daily to make way for other guests which... More

We had just spent a night at the hotel Niza (15 minute walk away) before checking into La Galeria for the remainder of our stay in San Sebastian. My wife had booked this hotel based on their website and boutique rooms. As each room is based on a famous painter's painting, we were given Lucien Freud. Immediately, I was a... More

Turned up on Hotel doorstep and enquired about room availablity expecting to get a poor room as we had not booked in advance. Very pleased with room, modern, clean, above average size. Only a breakfast - snack bar but the walk into town for the restaurants in the evening is a pleasure anyway. Was sorry to leave after 2 days... More

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights in June 2006 - I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on tripadviser but I had left it a bit late to book a hotel for our trip and didn't have much choice. Our first night here was hell (sorry) because of our bed - it was... More

We stayed at the Hotel La Galeria in June of 2006. The hotel and the room were clean and simple. The hotel provided shampoo, toothbrushes and slippers, as well as a few other toiletries and those were replenished as they were used. The location was ideal - very close to the beach (across the street). The area was very quite.... More

We stayed here for six nights in September 2005 and found it to be one of the best hotels in Spain for its price range. It has a superb location, near the beach & transport links to the city centre (quick, cheap buses & a taxi rank). We had a third-floor room (named ' Miro' - all the rooms have... More

I spent two weekend nights at La Galeria in early June. Chose the hotel after reading reviews on the Internet. Spanish cities are noisy at night, and I wanted a quiet place where I could sleep. I got that, and more: beachfront access; an attractive, if small room; nicely appointed bathroom; and a good rate. I was on the ground... More

Stayed in this hotel recently and we were given a room in the basement. Romm was very small but it was clean. However, the major problem was that the walls between the bedrooms are paper thin. Our room backed onto our neighbour's bathoom and we could hear everything going on. I complained and was told that no-one had ever mentioned... More

We stayed in the hotel in August 2003. Very nice old house from the outside. Looks impressive. Entrance hall also quite nice. But the rooms are quite different in terms of quality/size. Despite (or maybe because) we had booked two months in advance, we ended up in a very small room on the ground floor, with just enough room for... More
