The San Miguel was a great little hotel, immaculate, WONDERFUL staff, and close to anything you could possibly want to visit in Gijon, as well as being a block off the beach. A five star resort hotel it's not, but I am a clean freak and was quite pleased with our choice, especially for the price.

This was a recommendation of friends when visiting Gijon Very well located and rooms fine -only drawback is parking - but like most of Gijon there isn't any!
Breakfast is in a fairly small area beyond the bar
The staff are helpful and cheerful - there isn't a glum face around.
Never did find the relevance of the dentist's chair...

we only stayed one night but the room was spotless and staff most helpful.
located along a street with plenty of bars and resturants and one street down to the beach.
we met up with friends who live in gijon but would stay at this hotel most definate and would recommend 100%. AAA

What would ordinarily qualify as an efficient and clean 2-star business hotel is lifted by some special little touches like the fresh flowers in the lobby. An excellent choice in Gijon. Ask them also about Meson Sancho. The best steaks in northern Spain.
