First of all, the location. There is bus connection to the long-distance bus station, and it takes less than 10min walk to the cathedral. Very good location, but there is no LIFT!!!! No wifi in the room, and we hv to go down to the main building and use wi-fi in the lobby area. I love the kitchen area. private room, and quite at nite. Free walking tours. We did enjoy the tours, so much info and fun! More

All of the staff were some of the most helpful and energetic we've encountered in our travels EXCEPT for one member of staff who worked the swing shift --he was extremely unhelpful, cold, & incompetent. Samay hostel is in a great location in Barrio Santa Cruz and easy to get to from airport and train/bus stations as it is along the main road. The staff were very helpful and the hostel was clean and had very well equipped kitchen. I felt very safe there. I would also recommend the walking tours and paella nite. More
