The recommendation for choosing the hotel from Tripadvisor was spot on. The location is perfect, the hotel is spotless and attractively decorated for a "3star" property, which some of the commentators seem to have forgotten or have inflated egos but don't want to pay. The charming welcome on arrival is even enhanced with the provision of detailed verbal information on... More

We picked Puerta from the list in Lonely Planet's guide to Spain. I booked 2 days before via email using my phone in Lisbon airport. Almost immediate response in good english, explaining how to park in La Caleta public parking and take a taxi to the hotel. Yes, it's one of the closest hotels to the Alhambra, very handy. Our... Stayed here for a couple of nights in May -- the location of the hotel is excellent and is within walking distance from most of the sights you would want to see in Granada. Rooms are very small, and breakfast is uninspiring. Staff were very nice and helpful. If you're planning to make a reservation here, come with the expectation... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights recently when visiting The Alhambra. Very good location about 20 mins downhill from the place. We had room 401 which overlooks The Alhambra. It's a good size and very clean, with compact shower room, flat screen tv, safe and mini fridge. Breakfast was very good, with choice of cold food including rolls, croissants,... More

I spent a great weekend in Granada in spring 2013. Puerta de las Granadas is steps from busy Plaza Nueva and is just downhill from the famous Alhambra... really an optimal place to launch your adventures in the city center. The staff were very helpful and spoke nearly flawless English. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. The bathrooms were well... More

Hotel is nicely situated for the tourist in Granada. Just off Plaza Nueva and a 5 minute (steep) walk to the Justice Gate of the Alhambra. Easy walking to the Alcaiceria, Plaza de Bib-Rambla, Cathedral, Paseo de los Tristes, buses to the Albayzin, etc. Stayed two nights in the Alhambra view room. It has a very nice view of the... More

This hotel was a great find for the price and the location was perfect. It is close to the Alhambra and has charming views, but is close to downtown so you can get everywhere. The staff was helpful, the room was clean, and the air conditioning is a must in the summer!

Granada was the 2nd stop on a 7-city self-organized tour of the Iberian Peninsula. This small hotel remains a stand-out in our memories. First, the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff were unsurpassed; providing very good local information/advice as well as assisting with bookings etc. We stayed 9-days and, as luck would have it, one of us came down with...
