We went there last weekend with a group of over 30 people, with 16 classic cars. Therefore location and safe parking was important. Both initial targets were met. The hotel is a type of old "Grand Hotel", with large high ceiling rooms (most of us had a suite). Nice garden, locked parking. 10 minutes walk to the port area with... More

On an unremarkable street in an unremarkable town lies a rather fine hotel. Enter into a large covered courtyard, being briefly distracted by the chatty caged bird before finding reception in the right hand corner. Efficient check-in and a helping hand with luggage, no tip expected. Wander the gardens, noting that the pool is open only in summer and appears... More

Lovely old house with comfortable, delightful public spaces. Rooms are also original with new bathrooms. Found rooms rather overbearing, dusty and a little too old for comfort! Our small suite had 2 TV's - they were colour but only just! Lovely gardens. AT the expensive end for what you get - especially in El Puerto de Santa Maria which is... More

On a golfing trip we chose this hotel as we were unconvinced by the all incl golf packages offered elsewhere. This hotel is a conveniently a short drive to a number of courses and from the airport at Jerez. Hotel is quite lovely, furnished with antiques with a stunning reception area. Al fresco breakfast provides Spanish local food of high... More

Just back from a week in Spain (Seville, Jerez, Cadiz and Puerto.and this was my favourite hotel. Old world charm and 18th century antiques and artwork. Quiet hotel situated a nice easy walk from the town centre. Very large room and giant bathroom. Breakfast was good (the usual tasty iberico hams, fresh fruit, juice, cereals, breads). Only offered one coffee... More

Duques de Medinaceli is a 5* hotel located in town center of Puerto de Santa María. If you are looking for a quiet hotel, its the best choice. A XVIII century building with big rooms and old fashiion fornitures. It has a great yard to enjoy a good book, good wine or one of the great liquors aorund (Jerez/ Sanlucar/El... More

We chose to stay here because of convenient location to visit the cities and restaurants that we wanted to go to. This hotel is classified with 5 stars, but is no real luxury hotel compared to a Four Seasons or other hotels that I have stayed in. The hotel is an old palace full of antiques and paintings, restaurant, bar... More

This Hotel is the perfect hideaway for a few days and/or the perfect spot to discover Cadiz. It is a real castle turned into a hotel. The service is impeccable, the interior reflects the grandeur of the old days. Even the British Queen has stayed here. The rooms are very large, the furniture antiques throughout. The pool is a bit... More

If the Duques de Medinaceli were a 3 or 4 star hotel, I would probably not be so critical. However, when you hang out 5 stars and charge 5 star rates that basically puts you on the spot to either deliver the goods or become the object of negative reviews such as this one. Conceptually, the hotel certainly could be... More

what a pleasant stay we had here in a delightfully furnished and decorated hotel, great parking facilities, tranquil gardensand patios, super breakfast,,,amiable staff, an upgrade on arrival to a junior suite and we were so lucky as we had dinner on one of the evenings to be serenaded (a welcome surprise to us) by the wonderful voices of the 10 tenors...
