If you are looking for a place to spend only 30 euros a night and have a safe place, a private bathroom, a clean room and a good firm bed, Hostal Alcazar is the place for you (and really, what more could you expect for only 30 euros a night?). According to Rick Steves' guide book, Hostal Alcazar is the... More

My boyfriend and I went to Córdoba on a day trip so we just stayed at this hostel for one night. We paid 35€ for a double room with private bathroom (toilet + shower + washbasin) and air conditioner, which was a little old but still working. The owners of the hostel were very kind and helpful. The hostel is... More

Agree 100% with Traveller69Phuket! We arrived in Cordoba on a busy weekend with no accommodation lined up, in a ridiculously wide rental car. Owner Fernando(?), wife and son were extremely helpful not only in providing accommodation, but almost holding our hands to get that monster car parked. Also, they provided good advice on restaurants. Very friendly, inexpensive and central to... More

Hostals and Pensions provide the cheapest no frills en-suite accommodation in Spain if you are on a budget and want to be close to the main sites, most of which you have to pay to enter. We found Spain to be unexpectantly expensive during our stay, although accommodation in the Hostals was reasonable. Breakfasts and tea and coffee making facilities... More

One one side of a narrow street is a youth hostel. My heart sank when I arrived at reception to think I'd be sharing a room and bath. But no, for fifty Euros, you are escorted across the street to apartments around a courtyard. The apartments are what you might expect in the Canaries - tiled floors, living room, bedroom,... More

The only positive in this hostal is the location; very close to Mezquita and Alcazar. But the other thing - we had to change the towels because they were dirty. The water in the bath did not flow down. In the neighbor flat run a reconstruction and the noise were unbearable until evening. Fortunately we stayed here only two nights,... More

Hostal Alcazar locates just outside the city wall, closed to the Mezquita. The room is basic, but clean. It is also closed to the river and the garden/park. We have a nice stroll along the river. This is a simple hostal but cheap and closed to all tourist attraction. More

We stayed in the appartement the Hostal Alcazar offers at 80 Euros a night. We stayed here with 4 adults. The appartement was located in a quiet street in a central location (very close to the historical center, Alcazar, etc.). Previous reviews mention that the rooms are not allways clean, I only can confirm. It is definitely not horrible, just... More

We recently stayed 2 nights at this family run hostal. We had a room across the street from the main building. It was a very basic triple room, with 3 twin beds. The building itself had a very nice interior courtyard with tables. The room was upstairs and had a private bath. The room was very basic and clean. The... More

What a great find in lovely Cordoba! We booked a junior apartment and found the accommodations to be spacious and comfortable. The hotel owner is hilarious! He really enjoyed teasing my daughter, who is in Spain studying. If you go, ask him to tell you the name of the restaurant nearby that he recommends that the locals use - it... More
