We could not believe how shabby and worn out this hotel is. When we complained we were told it is to be pulled down and a new 5* hotel built. Meanwhile it should not have been advertised as 4*. We were very cross at the poor facilities. Plus no breakfast and an extra 12€ for parking. Keep well clear whilst...

Very easy to find, plenty of parking available on the streets around (don't go for the hotel parking - you can get 24hr parking just round the corner for 0.90 euros).
Despite what others have said I didn't find the hotel run down or shabby at all.
The hotel is very close to Juderia & Mesquita (within 5 minutes walk)....

Cordoba was our 2nd stop in Spain. After Granada which we adored and the lovely stay at the Hotel Melia Granada, I was rather hesitant at checking into the Tryp Cordoba especially after having read some of the reviews. At the time of booking there was a very good promotional rate on at the Sol Melia hotels so I made...

My wife & I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in early September having travelled from Zaragoza via Madrid by the excellent Spanish train service.
Being well travelled in life, feel that I need to share our experiences of our stay at this hotel.= which should come with a warning - DO NOT STAY HERE! To summarize:-
Location: Within...

Solmelia group -----------, is one of the most important hotel groups in Spain and it has several categories (Melia, Paradisus, Tryp, Sol, etc.). Tryp hotels are usually 3 or 4 stars hotels and they are comfortable, usually well located and with competitive rates. I know lots of Tryp hotels in Spain and abroad and I generally choose them in my...

We stayed at this hotel in January of 2005 booking on the internet the night before our arrival. The price was very reasonably and included a good breakfast. The staff was efficient and there was internet accessibility in the lobby. The carpeting and furniture in the rooms is quite worn and shabby. The general cleanliness was decent. Location was good...

This hotel is dreadful, it proclaims to be of a 4 star standard but is in a awful state. The reception and bar look like a bad 1980s set from Dynasty and the corridors leading to the rooms have lovely thread bare carpets. Once in the room, again the carpet was worn and the bedroom furniture was dated, tatty and...

A good location just a short walk to the Mesquita and Juderia district.
We got an excellent rate of 50 euros on the Melia website, which made up for the poor quality of the rooms. The hallways and rooms had worn carpet, and the rooms badly need to be updated. The hotel certainly doesn't deserve a 4 star rating. We...
