We stayed for two nights in a room with a balcony overlooking the Wakenitz. The hotel is a bit worn around the edges and could use a fresh-up (flaking paint etc. nothing major). But with regards to the price it was good value for money. The bed was good and of a size that fits a grown man. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a nice buffet with a good selection for a hotel this size, with juice, good fresh bread, cold cuts, cheese, marmelades and soft-boiled eggs.

It seemed the hotel used to run a restaurant, but this has since been closed. It would have been nice with at least a bar with some soft-drinks, beers and some crisps as the balcony really invited to sitting with a nightcap and looking out over the river.

The wireless internet connection was fairly slow and shaky, but free and I could check mail, read news etc.

The location is a 10-15minute walk from the city centre, but in a quiet residential neighbourhood. more
