Loved the large family room and enjoyed the large breakfast buffet. But the very best was the help we received when we, back in Denmark, discoverd that our son forgot his beloved teddy-seal. The hotel mailed it to him - just in time for christmas!

A group of us used this hotel as a base and it was perfect for this. The Altstadt was a 10 minute walk away and from there all the sights and amenities were within easy reach. The rooms were tidy and clean if a little dated and the breakfast options covered all tastes.

One great advantage of this hotel is that it is easily accessible by car and yet only a ten minute walk from the town centre. The hotel is OK the staff were great. We had tea on the balcony next to the river and it was wonderful but we did have to ask to use it. The walk into town was not so picturesque but well worth it for the roman ruins, the bathouse and porta nigra in particular
