I have stayed at this hotel many times and would not consider another hotel in Mainz. The breakfast is ample and good and the meals in the restaurant are excellent. Drink the world's best white wine. I find the service friendly and efficient.This could be because I speak German. I wonder why others have not been pleased with the sevice.... More

It was a nice stay in Mainz. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from the train station. It was very easy to find on foot but wouldn't be if we had lots of luggage. The hotel was a lovely old pub with accommodation above. The hotel part seemed to be quite busy but the restaurant wasn't, which was strange... More

We stayed at Hof-Ehrenfels on Grebenstrasse on December 16, 2004. For 95 Euros for two - three people including breakfast (cold cuts, cheese, bread, coffee, juice - no yogurt or eggs) it was an okay deal considering the location which was three blocks from the Christkindel market if you can overlook the horrible parking, dingy room, and rude staff.
