- Mainz Novotel

2nd time here in 2 months, returned because of positive visit last time.
Particuarlly because of the use of small gym/pool, steam room and sauna.
Food is average and breakfast expensive!

Just stayed one night for business. Located near the train station, but only a 10-15 min walk to the Dom Platz. Front desk staff very helpful. Rooms are decent size but the modern minimalist decor comes across looking a bit cheap. Bathroom amenities are pretty limited: mini bars of soap and shampoo. Towels are a bit thin. Good TV with...

Good location in Mainz. Only a 5-10 minute walk to shops and restaurants in town. Rooms are bright and airy. The restaurant inside the hotel is very nice if opting to stay inside. Good breakfast buffet. Nice and professional front desk staff.

The hotel is a good value, and the pool is a plus- the kids loved it, and the adjoining bar was very nice for reading or getting some work done. It is easily walkable from the train station, but if you have luggage or have had a long day, an inexpensive taxi is the better bet over thw walk up-hill....

Having stayed here a few years ago chose to return when back in Mainz on business.
It was a good choice. Still the same reliable clean and helpful hotel.

Minus point is the breakfast is 18 euros of which I have not yet seen a package to include this,...

Location: outside center so depends what is your purpose of stay. If you want to be close to old city this is a wrong choice. If you want to use as a base to explore the region then it’s ok
Room: relatively spacious, all amenities and functioning. An extra bed was delivered upon request without any problem or surcharge

Four night stay at Novotel, Mainz. The hotel location is within easy reach of places you would like to see in Mainz, also very good for transport links nearby. The front desk were very helpful throughout the stay at the hotel, which did improve the score of the hotel, In terms of service. The rooms were fine in size, but...

Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times, it is a good location for walking into the centre of Mainz (although on a hill so be aware if mobility is an issue), the rooms are clean and functional. Only ever had room service breakfast but I have got what I requested and it was nice.

The rooms are adequate. I've certainly slept in more comfortable beds, but the rooms are fairly big with a small fridge. Not much in english on the tv...BBC, SkyNews, CNBC Europe and Bloomberg. The 2 sports channels are german. The wifi is very spotty and weak. The cable internet costs 10 euro, but, it didn't work either on my last...
