The hotel is very central opposite the main train station. Hotel was very nice & room was spacious & comfortable. Reasonably priced. Essen had a vibrant but compact centre with lots of shops & cafe bars & good transport connections. It was very handy for our visit to the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. more

A large, clean, & comfortable hotel conviently located across from the train station. At 126 euro per night, I thought it was an excellent value for a "downtown" hotel . The breakfast at 14.50 euro per person was not a good value. The staff was friendly & spoke excellent English. more
