I stayed for 3 nights in May 2012. Was in Dusseldorf for DRUPA and had heard that all Dusseldorf Hotels overcharge during trade shows but this really took the crown. Tiny room. Single Bed. Tiny bathroom. Towels that must have been bought during the 30's. Thin walls. I could hear the snoring of the guy above me! Smelly. No air... More

the Hotel have a Division which have high floors and no elevator. Rooms are very dusty and unclean. There was a gas leak from the minibar and there was no manager on duty to talk to him. The team does not give solutions to problems that the hotel is responsible. Bottom line, STAY AWAY !! More

My husband and I stayed here in March 2012. We were attending a trade fair, so we were business visitors but also a couple, but we wanted to be somewhere central so that we could go out in the evenings. This place fitted the bill. Very conveniently located close to subway station (5 minute walk at most), and within walking... More

Monopol hotel is situated quiet near from 'Königsallee' – the main shopping and business street. Also 'Altstadt' (old city), where we can find good restaurants and bars, theatres and museums. Besides we had good breakfast early in the morning. Our room was clean, but very small. Designed in eclectic style with posters of Dusseldorf, in green colures. Shower room was... More

The location is good, just 10 minutes walking to the railwaystation. Not too much noise from the street. The beds were comfortable, maybe a bit too big for such a small room. Bathroom very clean and not too crammed. The decor downstairs was.. well, interesting.. And we really enjoyed the breakfast: everything from banana juice to fried sausages and fresh... More

Two friends and I stopped at this hotel on a two night trip to Dusseldorf for a birthday do. We flew with RyanAir into Weeze Airport and I spent forever looking at reviews to help me decide if flying into Weeze was worth the extra saving (it was considerably more to fly to Duss direct!) but couldn't find anything!! So,... More

I was laughing when reading the Australian review below. Although most is through, you still have got to wonder what the expectations were. During my stay, the corridors were repainted. The room was middle-sized, the bed small but comfy. The pillows were not. The traffic outside was very loud, be sure to get a room on the inside. Not much... More
