I pretty much agree with the sentiments below. The location is perfect - it's a 30 second walk to the Hauptbahnhof then two minutes walk through there and you are at the Dom. I would probably recommend this hotel for its location but not for the quality of the rooms, decor or size. The room was tiny - only room for one suitcase really so barely suitable for 2 people. I would actually consider this a 3* standard. Also the strict adherence to a 3pm checkin meant an hour walking in heavy rain.... more

very good location, we went to do the Christmas markets and see the Dom both of which we could walk to. The Staff are all very accommodating and speak excellent English. my only gripe was the size of the rooms, very compact only room to lay out one suitcase and the bath was even to small for my 5,4" wife... more

The hotel is right next to the main train station and near the Dom. The streets are very busy however, and can be noisy. Its unfortunate that Starwood doesnt have any better hotels in Cologne. The hotel was fine. If you're looking for luxury do not stay here. If you just need a room to sleep in, this is your place.
