This place goes down as one of my wifes and I favorites of our two week adventure through Europe.First let me say after traveling through big cities like Amsterdam, Koln and Prague, Rudesheim was a breath of fresh air,Laid back town that gets busy during the day with the Rhine boat trips.Staying at the Zum Grunen was great, the location,... This was our first trip to Germany. We found the hotel reasonably priced since we had a room with 2 sleeping areas. The food was very good; supper and breakfast. The staff was very helpful and nice. Very close to everything; center of town. The only things to be aware of are the church bells nearby begin at 7 AM,... More

We stayed here for two nights after arriving in Frankfurt from Australia. The beds were comfy, although we had to get used to the german style double beds:) The bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast was very good with a buffet style german breakfast. Lots of choices and all doen very nicely and homely. we had dinner one night and... More

When phoning to book I was assured that there was reliable internet access in the rooms. This is essential to me as Im on a business trip. Things started to go wrong when I got to my room and the used towels from the previous occupant had not been changed and neither had the bed linen I suspect as I... More

Located in the heart of the old town and very near the Drosselgasse (a street well worth a visit), we were welcomed by the English-speaking owner with a glass of local wine. Although he was very busy behind the bar he very soon produced the key to our room and an invitation to a free wine-tasting at the wine shop... More

The restaurant looked cute, so we decided to have dinner there. We had to wait a very long time for our meals. The food was very poor,The wildpfanne Hubertus e.g did'nt have any deermeat in it but beef. After complaints the waiter answered that the kitchen was not his business. The schnitzel and the french fries were fat and dirty... More

The hotel was really nice and cute, with very helpful and friendly personel. Great breakfast, very modern and clean room and over all good hotel for quite good money. The room we paid superior price for was very small and weird planned, not cosy at all. All the other superior rooms we looked at in the corridor was really large... More

This is a very pretty hotel in the traditional German style. It is located in the heart of the old town - 1 min to the Droggelgrasse, about 10 mins walk to the train station and about 3 minutes to the cruise boat. Previous TA reviews frequently mentioned small rooms, which led me to thinking that the double beds would... More

We loved our little room. The pictures for the hotel make the rooms look huge, but our room was pretty small. We had a hard time sleeping because it was so hot in our room and loud outside. Other than that, we loved our stay. The room reminded me more of a home than a hotel, which I really liked.... More

Booked a double room for 3 nights, but was put into a tiny and very claustrophobic single room with an extra narrow bed squeezed into it. The bathroom was tiny (had to sit sideways on the loo) and one of us had to leave or stay in bed when the other was moving around the room. We changed rooms the... More
