Ibis has a standard all over europe and this hotel fits that as well. Not much of service but ok rooms, clean and good size. Location was ok but not the best for long stays as there is nothing to do at nights. Afterall, its a good place to start roaming around Hamburg and crash comfortably at night.

I just came back from a night at the Ibis Hamburg Alsterring and it was very comfortable. The rooms a very simple but functional. The internet in the room is at a charge but is available for free in the lobby. The breakfast was excellent and not expensive with sausage and scrambled eggs. For short business trips, it´s ideal.

The reception staff were very helpful and gave us the towels we asked for - as Ibis only provides one towel per person and we were accustomed to two.
