“Best hotel at great location”

This is the best hotel at a great location. Stayed two nights here. It is a good value for money. Front desk is very cooperative. Good selection for breakfast. Free wifi at lobby. Occupied a room just above the lobby. This enabled me to access free wifi from room as well. More

Great location, just 5 mins walk from main train station, don't need a taxi. 10 mins walk to town centre. Friendly welcome, good English. Clearly, the rates are cheap here at the Ibis and so don't except 5 star, but for the price and location this place is a definite hotel to consider. Just around the corner from the christmas markets and the main centre of Hamburg... Also just a short stroll from the train station. My only gripe was the most uncomfortable beds! Might seem a very trivial comment but really didn't sleep well, like sleeping on a flat plant of wood. Aside of that great! More

We enjoyed our first stay at IBIS Hamburg Alster very much. You really get value for money and the atmosphere is very good, especially at the restaurant and the lobby. The bed is very good and the room and bathroom are very clean. Breakfast is excellent with good service. More

Went to Hamburg for the weekend and accommodation was pretty booked up. This place was absolutely fine. Like Ibis' I've stayed in before, you know what you're getting and it represents good value for money. Location great as close to main station in a nice area. Hamburg a really good city to visit. Very friendly and hospitable. More

Nice local Hotel. Close to the lovely lake Alster. Friendly personal/staff. Traffic or trains can be a little disturbing. Shops whitin walkingdistance. Close to the trainstation. 2 levels of parking underground. More
