A clear lake surrounded by pine trees, snow capped mountains reflected in it, and wooden houses and white churches dotting the landscape: The view from our room captured the quintessential Bavarian countryside in all its loveliness. Dreimadlerhaus – Weissee, Fussen This accommodation is really the curate’s egg: good in parts. So, let’s start with the good. The location is great - right on the lake, and the Weissensee is a very pretty small lake indeed with a scenic mountain backdrop and surrounding meadows. You can sunbathe, swim, go to the cafe, and all within walking distance... more

We stayed two nights here and loved the homelike atmosphere. It felt like staying at a friends house. It sits a little bit outside of Fussen away from the tourists, so it is absolutely quiet at night. The hotel sits right on a lake and the scenery is outstanding. Next door is a delicious Italian restaurant and across the street... more
