The rooms where nice and clean, so was the bath room. The staff was very friendly except of the owner's wife (i think it was the wife but i am not sure), who was unfriendly to other staff and even to us guests. nevertheless our stay as a family was very nice. Nice hotel near centre of lovely old city of Augsburg. Large twin room with sofa and nice bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff who spoke English

Unless you are arriving on the train and need a close location, this hotel is not worth the search. The staff is not terribly helpful, and the highly touted "parking" is basically non-existent. I stayed for a week in Augsburg in mid-September just as Oktoberfest was beginning. (Yes, Oktoberfest begins in September!) Although it was a business trip, we had quite a lot of time to tour this part of Bavaria. Augsburg is a lovely and safe city.
