Great retro hotel with free internet in the dining room, great buffet breakfast and friendly staff. However the warnings re the showers are correct - they are not for the modest or a group of you sharing a room as friends. The Cocoon hotel is well situated near the entrace of Munichs old center. It´s well decorated, with nice rooms, and the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed is sort of hard, but i liked it. The shower is and the unusual room style are great. I recommend it! more

When I was looking for hotels in Munich, I wanted something near the Hauptbahnhof, but that is in a sketchy side of town, so I opted for this hotel as reviews said it was close to everything... and surprisingly it was!
