Hotel Friedenspromenade is situated in a very pleasant, suburban area of Munich, a short bus ride from Trudering station, which is then very handy for the Messestadt conference centre, or direct into town. The hotel is very sweet and traditional-looking from the outside and the decor in the breakfast room is homely and inviting. The taxi ride from the airport was 70 euros.
The rooms were small but clean with good shower pressure. My bed was creaky but this didn't bother me. The breakfast provided was good, with fresh rolls, a variety of meats and cheese, two sugary breakfast cereals and juice.
I had two problems with this hotel: firstly the area. As a business traveller it wasn't really a place I could nip out for something to eat. I don't if I was unlucky but when I went to the nearby beer garden the server didn't speak English and I was a bit stuck.
