We stayed for 2 nights whilst in Munich for the Champions League Final. Easy to get to from central station. Staff all very pleasant and spoke better English than our German. We luckily had a room at the back with the balcony overlooking the courtyard. Not much of a view but better than being at the front of hotel overlooking... More

The Hotel is better than the appearance outside. We had a Standard Room facing the backyard, with a small, non-furnished balcony. The room was small and offered Minibar, Flatscreen, free Wifi, but no safe; furnitures are little bit outdated. It was basically quiet apart from slamming doors in the corridor, and if you are sensitive to noise you better bring... More

We stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Munich for 3 nights in May 2012. We were in Munich for football (European Champions League final). The hotel is accessed via a gap between shops onto a courtyard. It’s wide enough to take a car and there is a garage entrance there. The hotel is located close to some bars and just... More

This hotel will not disappoint if one expects a hotel to provide a clean, hygienic, comfortable room to rest and sleep. Do not expect the most modern hardwares or luxurious trappings. It has none. It does not have air-conditioning during the summer months too. I'm not sure if the in-room temperature will be bearable when the mercury goes beyond 28... More

Stayed there one night in January. The staff was very helpful. The hotel reception is in a courtyard off the street, which itself is not a min street. So it tends to be fairly quiet. The room was clean, in good shape and quiet if one requests a room facing away from the street towards the courtyard. The breakfast was... More

Very pleasant room with good bathroom. Not fancy but clean, comfortable, convenient. Excellent location with lots of restaurants and shopping right nearby. Easy walk to subway (U6) with straight shot to University and Marienplatz (in old town). Pretty good breakfast but not sumptuous. Staff is friendly, competent, and speaks english pretty well. No problem staying here again.

I chose to stay here for one night because I had a doctor's appointment a few blocks away. The rate of 125 Euro was the best I found in the area. The location, in the Schwabing district, is superb. There are numerous choices restaurants and shops and there's easy access to U-bahn stops for a quick trip to the Marienplaz... More

Went to Munich for Octoberfest and choose this hotel because of an ad saying that you could get a seat at a table in one of the tents. Didn't end up happening. The room was a bit tired, and we didn't find the beds or pillows very comfortable. That being said the staff was good and helpful, the breakfast offered... More

May be well placed for sightseeing but not for business travelers. More like a dorm room than a hotel. Rooms very dated. Saw some hotel pics but no way that is what you get. Reception staff not very helpful. Parking was a bit crazy and then trying to find the room was quite difficult (we hope we weren't the only... More

If you are on a budget, want a neighborhood with a normal character, and don't need to be near the train station, the Cosmopolitan is a good choice. The location in Schwabing is excellent, much better than staying near the train station, though that area is not really seedy like some say, just overly commercial and lacking in charm. The... More
