I can ditto the preceding reviews having atayed here many times over the years. I love the ambiance, proximity to zentrum, service, fruhstuck, garage, in effect everything..... BUT....NO WIFI in the rooms and if you want to subscribe to WIFI in the 'public 'areas then it costs about 22 euros per day. They will, they say re-visit the problem next...

The staff is very kind, always smiling and ready to satisfy the requests.
The "comfort room" is spacious (with a separate wardrobe space) and clean, the towels set is complete, the room service is fast.
The breakfast buffet is generous and high in quality.
Last but not least, the hotel is in an excellent position, just three minutes from Marienplatz,...

Very central hotel near Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. Plenty of quality bierhouses and restaurants nearby. Quite good breakfast including free weisswurst, eggs and some hot foods. Room was not big but OK, enough comfortable. Good view of Munich's building and church roofs from the room. I recommend this hotel for a touristic or business trip in the city.
I stayed here for just one night. It's nice. Location is fantastic in the middle of the old city. Staff are outstanding, very friendly and helpful with a great attitude. Lobby is gorgeous. Rooms fair size, bed very comfortable. Smallish bathroom. I usually stay at the sofitel but like the Platzl better.
We stayed at the Platzl Hotel for four nights for a short city trip. This was the first time we stayed in the city center itself. The location in the heart of the city makes it very easy to visit all the "hot spots" within a short period of time. The hotel is Bavarian style and nice decorated. Its breakfast...

I stayed at the Platzl one night for a business trip and really liked the place. The hotel itself is traditional Bavarian, in an old building right in the middle of the city center. Location-wise it is great, with the only drawback being the proximity to the Hofbrauhaus. I had to endure 2 hours of drunken stupor from the Hofbrauhaus...

My 15-year old daughter and I only spent one night in the this hotel and given the reviews, had high expectations so were disappointed on arrival. The room was very small (but perhaps comparable for Munich) but we had been staying in exceptionally nice hotels on our trip prior to Munich (that were the same or less money). As well...

We have just returned from a long weekend in Munich, during which we stayed at the Platzl. The location of the hotel is fantastic, the rooms were lovely, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff could not do enough for you. The hotel was slighly expensive at €209 per night for a double, but it was worth it for all...
